How we verify

Statuses

• Date not announced: at our last check we found no official notice with a date. We show the page we checked and when.
• Expected: only when the board itself has said something like “in December”; we quote it and link to it. We never invent an expected date.
• Date confirmed: the board has published the date (and time) in a notice.
• Announced: the result or date sheet is out, with the official link.
• Postponed and Withdrawn by the board: with the board's notice.
• Not re-checked: if a page has not been re-checked for 48 hours, it says so.

The two-signal rule

We change a status to Date confirmed or Announced only on an official notice from the board, or on two independent, reputable news reports that quote the board. The page shows which.

What “Unverified” means

Each board address in our registry was found and loaded by our check. It stays marked Unverified until an editor has opened it by hand and confirmed that the site belongs to the board. Check the address bar before you type anything on any result site.

SMS codes

A code is shown as the board's only when it is on the board's own site or notice. A code that only news sites give is shown as reported by that outlet, not confirmed by the board. Without either, we show no code.

How we check

We read each board's homepage and notices page politely (see our checker). A change never publishes itself: an editor reads the notice and updates the page. Date sheets are re-typed from the official PDF and the PDF is always linked.

Mistakes

Every event page has “Report a mistake”. Every change and fix is listed on the corrections log.

Who runs Result Ghar

Our sources

Each board's and university's own website and notices are our primary source; every address is listed, with its last check, on our sources page. News reports are used only for last year's figures and SMS codes, and are always named and labelled.

How often we check

Every page shows when its board was last checked. Our aim is to re-check every board at least every two days; if a page has not been re-checked for 48 hours, it tells you so. A status changes only after an editor has read the board's notice, and the change is logged with its time and source.

What we are not

We are not a board, university or government website and are not affiliated with any of them. We never host results, never ask for roll numbers and never guess dates. Why that matters.
